Rock Garden Trail

Trail Overview
Located at Natural Bridge State Resort Park in Powell County, Rock Garden Trail is a linear trail with a difficulty rating of Moderate. This trail features many rock formations and follows along a sandstone cliff leading up to the backside of the Natural Bridge. This trail contains some steep steps and a drastic change in elevation near the middle, which is why we have rated this trail as Moderate/Difficult.
Trail Access
Hikers can park near the gift shop or at Hemlock Lodge. The trail can be accessed via the trailhead off of Battleship Rock Trail or from the base of the Natural Bridge when coming from the top of the park.

Natural Bridge
The main attraction at Natural Bridge State Resort Park, this sandstone arch spans 78 feet and is 65 feet high. Many of the trails at this park lead up to the base of the natural bridge. Any hikers who are unable to make the trek up to the arch can ride up via the skylift which will let you out onto Laurel Ridge Trail in which you’ll follow to the top of the arch
